Selecting the Correct Size
Choose the size as it appears on the manufacturer's tag whenever possible.
Accurate sizing helps shoppers quickly find the items they're looking for and reduces confusion after purchase.
When to Use the Junior Checkbox
Sometimes an item is an adult size but could also be appropriate for juniors.
In these cases:
-
Select the manufacturer's size.
-
Choose the appropriate category.
-
Check the Junior box.
Examples:
-
Lululemon Leggings Size 4. Select: Size 4 Category: Women's Athleticwear Check: Junior Box
-
Mini Boden Sweater Size 16. Select: Size 16 Category: Kid's Clothing-Girls Check: Junior Box
-
Nike Sweatshirt Men's Small. Select: Size Men's Small Category Kid's Clothing-Boys Check: Junior Box
This helps shoppers searching for youth and teen clothing find your item more easily. Women's items that are also marked for Juniors will be displayed in both sections. We do not have a designated men's section so all men's clothing should be added to Kids Clothing-Boys and check the junior box.
💡 GCOS Pro Tip
When in doubt, enter the manufacturer's size exactly as it appears on the tag. The Junior checkbox helps bridge the gap between adult sizing and youth shopping categories.
Pricing Your Items
One of the questions we hear most often is, "How should I price my items?"
We generally recommend pricing most items between 25% and 35% of their original retail price, depending on the brand, condition, and demand.
Remember:
-
All prices must be entered in 50-cent increments.
-
The minimum listing price is $4.00.
If you are unsure, ask yourself:
"Would I be excited to purchase this item at this price?"
Bundling Smaller Items
Sometimes several smaller items are worth more together than individually.
Bundles should make sense to a shopper and provide additional value.
Good bundle ideas include:
-
Paperback books from the same series
-
Matching tops and bottoms
-
Coordinating outfits
-
Similar toys or accessories
-
T-shirts in the same size
Avoid creating large bundles simply to reduce the number of listings. Smaller, thoughtfully grouped bundles are much more appealing to shoppers.
💡 GCOS Pro Tip
If an individual item is not worth the $4 minimum, consider whether it naturally pairs with another item. The best bundles feel intentional—not random.
Half Price Sale
During inventory entry, you will decide whether each item will participate in the Half Price Sale.
You have two options:
Yes – The item will automatically be discounted by 50% when the Half Price Sale begins.
No – The item will remain at its original price throughout the sale.
Many sellers choose to participate because shoppers often build Wish Lists before the sale begins. When the Half Price Sale opens, discounted Wish List items tend to sell very quickly.
If you already know you're willing to sell an item for half price, it is best to make that decision while entering your inventory.
Need to Make Changes Later?
Once the sale begins, sellers can no longer update individual listings themselves.
If you would like to change your Half Price selections, email the GCOS Admin Team.
Requests may include:
-
All remaining inventory
-
Entire categories (such as Clothing or Toys)
-
Items above or below a specific price point
Please note that requests are processed in batches and are not immediate. Half Price changes can not be made until after the Half Price Sale has launched.
💡 GCOS Pro Tip
Making your Half Price selections during inventory entry saves time later and gives your items the best opportunity to sell before the sale ends.
Specialty Tags
Specialty Tags make it easier for shoppers to find specific types of inventory.
Only use a tag when it accurately describes your item.
Holiday
Use for seasonal items such as Christmas, Halloween, Easter, or Valentine's Day.
New With Tags
Use only when the manufacturer's original retail tags are still attached.
Husky / Slim Fit
Use only when the manufacturer's size tag identifies the item as Husky or Slim Fit.
Unisex
Use for infant clothing designed to be worn by either boys or girls.
Continue selecting the appropriate clothing category, then add the Unisex tag to help shoppers find your item.
Toddler Shoes (Sizes 4–12)
Toddler size 4 and children's size 4 can easily be confused.
Using this tag helps shoppers quickly identify the correct size range.
💡 GCOS Pro Tip
Specialty Tags are designed to improve search results—not replace choosing the correct Category or Size. Only use tags that accurately describe your item.
