Preparing for Shopping Week
As GCOS prepares the online store for Shopping Week, your inventory will begin moving from Ready for Import to Locked & Loaded.
Before shopping begins, take a few minutes to make sure your inventory is accurate, available and ready to sell.
What You Will Learn
-
Complete your final inventory review
-
Understand Locked & Loaded
-
Correct items that need attention
-
Request changes after an item has been imported
Complete a Final Inventory Review
Before the Inventory Deadline, review your Ready for Import items.
Make sure:
-
You still have each item and it is available to sell
-
Listing information and photos are accurate
-
The item is still in the condition described
-
You are prepared to bring it to Sold Item Drop Off if it sells
All items must have the status Ready for Import to indicate it is ready to load to the online store. This means you are committing that item to the current GCOS sale.
💡 GCOS Pro Tip
If your GCOS items are listed on other selling platforms, pause those listings before Shopping Week begins.
Removal requests are not immediate, so do not risk an item selling in two places. Your seller percentage is based on successfully providing all of your sold items.
Watch for Admin Statuses
During inventory review, GCOS may assign an Admin Status to an item that needs attention.
Make the requested correction and return the item to Ready for Import.
No Admin Status? No action is needed.
When an Item Becomes Locked & Loaded
Once an item is imported into the online store, its Status changes to Locked & Loaded.
Inventory is imported in batches, so it is normal for some items to change before others.
Once an item is Locked & Loaded, do not edit or change its Status in your inventory.
If you need to correct, update or remove the item, submit a Locked & Loaded Item Change Request through the Seller Portal.
How Change Requests Are Processed
Your request is recorded as soon as you submit it. During inventory loading, requests are collected and will be worked through after all inventory has been loaded.
Once Shopping Week begins, time-sensitive changes may be made in the online store first. Your Seller Portal inventory record may not reflect the change immediately while GCOS completes the corresponding updates behind the scenes.
Submitting a request does not mean the change has been completed. Until your request has been processed, assume the item is still available for purchase.
If an item sells before a removal request is completed, you are still responsible for providing it.
