Sarah & Sis

We are Sarah and Sis, a mother/daughter team when it comes to consigning at Growing Cents of Style. I have a 3 1/2 year old daughter and a 17 month old son. My mother is the proud grandmother to 12 grandchildren ages 1 to 19.

I am a Stay-at-Home Mom and have lived in the Chicago Area since first grade (with the exception of undergrad and grad school). My craziest moment was working the sale two days before my son was born via C-section. It was a great discussion! I also blended in well during the new mom sale.

My mom is a realtor, Buffalo Grove marks her fourteenth home as a military wife. With the 12 grands she is always searching for a treasure or two. And find them she does!

My mom and I have always consigned together. I think this will be our fifth time consigning and seventh time shopping at Growing Cents of Style. We started consigning just so we could shop earlier and discovered that working the sale is just as fun. We’ve met so many wonderful women and always enjoy seeing familiar faces. For me it’s my twice a year outlet. My wonderful husband even takes time off so that I can shop early and work as needed. It takes us a few evenings to prepare. We price, iron, hang and then tag our items.

Iron your items! Even a few less wrinkles will make things sell better. And a magic eraser works wonders on toys and shoes.
